I have these two to thank for making my intro to TV producing so easy. Also got a nomination at the SYN awards, for TV Producer of the year! Up against our executive producers, so not expecting a win, but it will be an amazing awards night. Fairytale themed, and I’m stage managing!
Melbourne Music Series - The Very West
The western suburbs of Melbourne are known for their diversity and multiculturalism. In Footscray particularly, despite a reputation for drugs and street violence, the area is turning into a vibrant hub for arts and culture. Only 2 train stops from the city, the west is a more convenient and exciting player in the Melbourne arts and music scene than many realise.
Here’s a little documentary I made for AMRAP/SYN, focusing on music in the western suburbs, particularly the Footscray/Yarraville area and looking at the move of St. Jeromes Laneway Festival to the Footscray Community Arts Centre! Huge thanks to Baptism of Uzi and Bec from the centre for chatting to me.
Working on some audio editing for a music documentary today. It’s a pretty fun project, but I hate that I can’t listen to music while I’m working! I want me some Sufjan carols!
